It was a great sadness to learn today<\/strong> of the passing of Joshua Goldberg<\/a>, Editor-in-Chief of Lucianne.com<\/a> and Blogs Lucianne Loves<\/a>. He was the son of Lucianne and the late Sidney Goldberg<\/a>, only brother of Jonah Goldberg<\/a> and husband to Chantal.<\/p>\n

In the way of the internets, I had never met Joshua personally<\/a>, but our cyber-acquaintance was one I treasured. Over the past year or so we had exchanged dozens of emails, mostly pertaining to my techno-ignorance in posting to BLL, but Joshua\u2019s missives had to them a tone that \u2014 though professional \u2014 always managed to convey a personal sweetness and warmth that suggested he was a patient and peaceful man who loved people, probably because he knew who he was, and who loved him.<\/p>\n

Our last correspondence was on February 1<\/strong>, and once again I signed off form our exchange thinking that Joshua Goldberg was the rare testament to what good parenting and a strong family foundation can produce: a man who is professional but kind; not just kind, but a true gentleman; not just a true gentleman, but a mensch<\/em>. His death at such a young age is awful to contemplate, and my heart is broken for his family.<\/p>\n

Having lost both of my parents and, in the last few years, three brothers and a dear brother-in-law, I know that to lose a parent is difficult, and to lose a beloved sibling is a constant ache. To outlive one\u2019s child\u2026that is a grief that does not bear imaging.<\/p>\n

Joshua Goldberg is gone too soon. Please join me in whispering up a prayer of sympathy and condolence to the Goldberg Family.<\/p>\n
