Well, when I announced that Mark Shea was bringing his blog over<\/a>,<\/strong> I told you to watch for more developments \u2014 at least four more, possibly ten.<\/p>\n

Well, here is the second: Katrina Fernandez, whom you might know as the Catholic-Cannonball-Award-conferring<\/strong>,<\/a> art-loving, gut-busting Crescat, has announced that she\u2019ll be moving her always-entertaining blog to Patheos<\/strong><\/a>, within the next day or two<\/del> \u2014 she is unpacking as you read this!<\/p>\n

You can take a gander at where the new design is going (and bookmark her new site address) here<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

And not only is she moving the blog<\/strong>, but she\u2019s staked out a bit of real estate in our Columnist Row<\/strong><\/a>. Today she debuts a twice-monthly column which she calls \u201cMore than Mortal Beauty\u201d (yes, taken from the Vespers antiphon) and she pounds the first stake with a sledgehammer aimed at those unhappy women who make it tough for the rest of us, namely, The Shrews<\/em><\/strong><\/a>: \"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Like reverse sexism, this belittling of men seems to be 100 percent acceptable. It\u2019s even used as the tie that binds in building female relationships\u2014commiserating over the \u201cmiserableness\u201d of the male species. I understand it can be hard to make friends when meeting people for the first time, but making your husband the butt of jokes is not the way to endear yourself to me. It\u2019s not just insulting to your husband but to me as well, a single woman who would love to have a spouse to promise to honor and respect. It\u2019s like waving a steak in front of a starving person and proclaiming it tastes like garbage and tossing it to the floor.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Yep. That\u2019s Katrina.<\/strong> She will keep you on your toes!<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n
