It\u2019s a new month so it\u2019s time for the Carnival of Evolution.<\/p>\n

In case it\u2019s new to you, the Carnival of Evolution is an aggregation of links to interesting stories about biological evolution from around the blogosphere.\u00a0 It\u2019s hosted by a different science oriented site each month.<\/p>\n

This month it can be found at Genome Engineering<\/a>:<\/p>\n

The focus of Genome Engineering<\/a> is \u2013 quite obviously \u2013 the engineering of the genome. So what does that have to do with evolution, I hear you say? Evolution has been driven by genetic changes, both small and large, and the natural engineering of the genome has a lot to teach those of us who want to engineer in \u2013 ahem \u2013 a less \u2018natural\u2019 way.<\/p>\n

Admit it.\u00a0 It\u2019s much more interesting to learn about evolution than to read another post about some religious fanatics trying to deny it that it exists.<\/p>\n
