\u201cI don\u2019t understand what Miley Cyrus is trying to do,\u201d Loring told The Insider<\/em> after watching Cyrus and Thicke\u2019s medley of We Can\u2019t Stop<\/em>, Blurred Lines<\/em> and Give It 2 U<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI just keep thinking of her mother and father watching this<\/strong>. Oh, Lord, have mercy,\u201d she added. \u201c\u2026I was not expecting her to be putting her butt that close to my son<\/strong>. Have you not seen the video for Blurred Lines<\/em> or even listened to the lyrics? Let me break it down for you; your son is no gentleman. He wrote a song glorifying date rape, for crying out loud! <\/p>\n

And Miley Cyrus\u2019s terrible twerking is what you found degrading and insulting? Are you frigging kidding me, lady? You need to stop worrying about what Cyrus\u2019s parents think and consider for a moment where you went wrong in your own child rearing. <\/p>\n

Everyone wants to throw Miley under the bus for breaking some moral standard but last time I checked Mr. Thicke was a thirty-six<\/em> year old grown ass married<\/em> man and father<\/em>. What\u2019s his damn excuse? <\/p>\n

What Ms. Loring should be commenting on is how she failed as a parent to teach her son that women aren\u2019t meant for objectification. She should be mortified by her own son\u2019s behavior and performance. Thirty six or not, if my son wrote a rape song and made a music video that was one pastie shy of a porno I would hit him with a purse full of bricks, not give an interview blaming the back up dancers. <\/p>\n

For her to condemn Cyrus\u2019s vulgarity and give her son a free pass for his is utterly, mind-blowingly asinine. As a mother of a son I emphatically do not<\/em> appreciate Ms. Loring\u2019s son telling our young men that his behavior is an acceptable form of entertainment. <\/p>\n

This double standard of Ms. Loring\u2019s is the very reason why certain judges think it\u2019s OK for teachers to rape their students. From Simcha Fisher<\/a>\u2026 <\/p>\n

Think I\u2019m exaggerating? Cherice Morales was fourteen when her 49-year-old teacher began to rape her<\/a>. Three years later, she killed herself. The reason her story is in the news is because her rapist, Stacey Rambold, got 30 days in jail for the rapes.<\/strong><\/p>\n

His sentencing judge, Judge G. Todd Baugh<\/a>, who never met the victim, said that she was \u201cas much in control of the situation\u201d as Rambold was, and that she was \u201colder than her chronological age.\u201d \u201cIt was not a violent, forcible, beat-the-victim rape like you see in movies,\u201d he said. <\/strong> <\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Miley Cyrus isn\u2019t the problem. She is just a symptom of it. No, the Robin Thicke\u2019s of the world, and the ones excusing his behavior<\/strong>, are the damn problem. So the next time Ms. Loring opens her mouth it should be to give society a big fat apology for failing so miserably as a parent. If she has nothing else to contribute than she should keep it shut. <\/p>\n
