\u2026 What an incredible weekend. Seattle itself was absolutely fun but the real joy was being part of the Frassati Conference<\/a>, hearing the other speakers, meeting some wonderful people, and making new friends. It really was a blessing to be there. <\/p>\n

If you live in or around the area, you should make a point to attend next year. Our Lady Star of the Sea<\/a> is a wonderful parish full of the nicest folks who are serious about their faith. <\/p>\n

Just a brief re-cap, there is no audio of the talk I gave. And thank goodness too. I was very nervous at the start of the workshop. True to my southern nature, I grabbed a chair and kicked off my shoes. From there it went much more smoothly. I\u2019ll post about the workshop in a separate post. <\/p>\n

I was 100% charmed with the city and the natural beauty of Washington. I could live there. Easily. The moss covered trees, towering cedars, and rain forest ferns all had me captivated. While in Seattle, I did all<\/a> the touristy<\/a> things and<\/a> had a fantastic<\/a> time making<\/a> friends with my host for the day, Patty. I only wish I could have stayed another day. I would have driven to Forks and killed sparkling vampires followed by an evening in Victoria. Next time. <\/p>\n

On the way to Seattle, Friday, I had a four hour lay over in Salt Lake City where I met up with Fr. Erik<\/a> and Tara. We had lunch in the oldest restaurant in town<\/a> and drove by Temple Square <\/a>to gawk at the Mormons<\/a>. <\/p>\n

Upon arriving in Seattle, Fr. Longenecker<\/a> & I had dinner with \u201cEvil Mark Shea\u201d\u2122<\/a> at Ivar\u2019s<\/a>. The chowder was to die for. <\/p>\n

I want to thank my gracious hosts for the weekend, Steve and Diane, Patty, and Josh Johnson. Thank you for your hospitality and kindness. <\/p>\n
