Not only have I not lost any weight, some how I managed to gain another pound. It\u2019s like my ass is a fat magnet. <\/p>\n<p>Current weight : 286 lbs<\/p>\n<p>Current mood : Murderous<\/p>\n<p>Projected outcome : high probability of stabbings<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/wp-media.patheos.com\/blogs\/sites\/66\/2015\/01\/Im-feeling-stabby-now-though.png\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/wp-media.patheos.com\/blogs\/sites\/66\/2015\/01\/Im-feeling-stabby-now-though-300x187.png\" alt=\"I'm feeling stabby now though\" width=\"300\" height=\"187\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-18292\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Things I\u2019ve Learned<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2013 just making healthier dietary changes is not going to be effective unless I exercise regularly<br>\n\u2013 I don\u2019t miss soda and real food actually tastes good<\/p>\n<p><strong>Inspirational<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2013 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.huffingtonpost.com\/2014\/12\/17\/best-weight-loss-success-stories-2014_n_6290628.html\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">These weight loss stories from 2014<\/a><\/p>\n<p>(Because if they can do it so can I, right?)<\/p>\n<p><strong>NSV<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2013 I am sleeping better<br>\n\u2013 I have more energy and no longer get 3pm burn out<br>\n\u2013 drinking all this water has really done wonders for my complexion. My skin hasn\u2019t looked this good since I was in my early twenties.<br>\n\u2013 and even though the scales says I\u2019m fatter, for some reason I feel smaller (it could just be psychological)<br>\n\u2013 my pants fit looser in the thighs<\/p>\n<p><strong>General Thoughts <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I\u2019m not going to lie. I was really hoping for at least a 4-5 weight loss. Everyone kept saying that when you\u2019re as fat me that first month the weight practically melts off. Granted you\u2019re usually too fat for it to make a visible difference, but I was completely unprepared to see the scale go up. It felt like a devastating punch in my ever expanding gut. <\/p>\n<p>However, typing out my NSV made me feel a whole lot better. At least some accomplishments came from all my conscientious eating. So there\u2019s that. <\/p>\n<p>And I am doing something, which is 100% better than doing absolutely nothing. For the first time in a very long time I feel determined and in control.<\/p>\n<p>I know what I have to do this coming month. I have to get over my aversion of working out. Making dietary changes alone is not going to make as big an impact as I had originally hoped. <\/p>\n<p>This past month my physical activity was just walking. I\u2019d walk for 30 minutes every other day or so, depending on my mood. I hadn\u2019t made a commitment to myself to exercise regularly. That has to change. <\/p>\n<p>Admittedly I\u2019m unsure where to start so if you could make some baby step recommendations for regular exercise I sure would really appreciate it.  <\/p>\n<p>Onward month two. <\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u2026 Week 4 Diet Update.
