\u2026 I decided to take advantage of the significant discount offered by Rosetta Stone<\/a> and purchase myself an early Christmas present. So you will now be subjected to my critique of the Rosetta Stone product and various incoherent posts published in mutilated Spanglish. Amigos queridos<\/em>, please forgive me while I butcher<\/del> learn your language. <\/p>\n

Originally I wanted to learn Italian in preparation of the day when Paolo Giovanni and I run off and live happily ever after in our terra cotta colored villa off the sun bleached Almalfi Coast to spend our days sipping prosecco and living la dolce vita. Alas, I\u2019ve put Paolo on hold for now. Alejandro is proving far more seductive. <\/p>\n

Realistically though, becoming bi-lingual in Spanish will be more practical. I will use it everyday, as opposed to Italian. My goal is to have my son & I be able to converse fluently with my dad and Abuela. And really, it\u2019s quite pathetic to be Puerto Rican and not known the language. <\/p>\n

So I\u2019m half way through Disc 1 of the Rosetta Course and I\u2019ve learned the difference between gato and perro and that one likes to corre and the other nada. I hope it\u2019s get a bit more challenging because I think my relationship with Alejandro will get dull quick if all we talk about is come arroz<\/em> and bebe aqua<\/em>. <\/p>\n
