For the record, I don\u2019t wear a mantilla either and I am not particularly fond of them myself. On other women, fine. However, on me it just becomes another fire hazard around the votive candles or choking risk. The few times I\u2019ve worn one I was terribly self-conscious and uncomfortable. I will ask, though, if the purpose of wearing them is to cover<\/strong> your head, than why not where a scarf or hat that doesn\u2019t let your hair show through?<\/p>\n
