\u2026 Yesterday I asked readers here, on Facebook, and on Twitter to give me three words to describe Democrats<\/a>. I was curious to see if conservative republicans would be any more charitable than their liberal counter parts. <\/p>\n

More charitable, no. But less racist, by far. For a group of people identifying themselves as tolerant of others they certainly seemed focused on intolerance toward white people. And the elderly. And men. Yeah, there were a whole lot of \u201cRich white men\u201d answers. Last time I checked being white or old wasn\u2019t a negative attribute. Neither is being rich, really. And I love men. <\/p>\n

But is it a fair representation? <\/p>\n

No more so than the answers people left in my combox and on my facebook page. Now, that\u2019s not to say I am making an example of my friends and readers. I just want to show how easy it is to make generalizations about the other side and how willingly we do so. And for the record\u2026 I was no more charitable in my own reply. <\/p>\n

See how easy it is? And in case you were curious, here is what 25 college aged Republicans had to say about Democrats<\/a>. Just as nasty if you ask me. Of course the comments that followed were equally acerbic and hateful. <\/p>\n

Oh, and then there\u2019s the videos. Obama gonna pay my mortgage. Obama gonna give me a free Obama-phone<\/a>. Obama can shit rainbows and unicorns. What\u2019s a Benghazi? <\/p>\n
