<\/a><\/p>\nFleeting thoughts, a need for more,<\/p>\n
Ever present, and yet out of reach.<\/p>\n
After all, I have achieved\u2026.my life is complete.<\/p>\n
My family, my boys, and a life.<\/p>\n
But then the whisper faintly stirs a passion that lies deep within my soul<\/p>\n
And while my voice is silent, my thoughts are loud.<\/p>\n
Conflicting thoughts, is it right to want more<\/p>\n
Beyond just being \u2018a someone elses\u2019, \u2013 wife, mother, daughter.<\/p>\n
\u2018I am blessed with what I have\u2019; I whisper back,<\/p>\n
\u2018I must be grateful for this life although it is not really mine\u2019, I whisper back,<\/p>\n
\u2018I know there is much more to me;<\/p>\n
That this is simply a fragment of the essence of me\u2019. I whisper back.<\/p>\n
\u2018I am not ready yet\u2019, I whisper back.<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
The whisper is hushed for a time<\/p>\n
But the whisper finds ways to make me heed;<\/p>\n
It kindles neglected emotions and revives forgotten feelings,<\/p>\n
And childhood dreams.<\/p>\n
And it steadily guides me to the point of \u2018what if?<\/p>\n
\u2018But I am not good enough\u2019, I whisper back,<\/p>\n
\u2018It is too late\u2019, I whisper back, \u2018to become me\u2019.<\/p>\n
The whisper breathes into my soul, and ignites an inner strength,<\/p>\n
And for a moment I can see the woman that is really me.<\/p>\n
\u2018I am scared\u2019; I whisper back, \u2018what if I fail?\u2019 I whisper back,<\/p>\n
\u2018I cannot do this\u2019 I whisper back;<\/p>\n
\u2018Do you not know my role in life and it cannot be just about me\u2019. I whisper back.<\/p>\n
\u2018Stay strong, stay true to you\u2019, the whisper echoes through my soul.<\/p>\n

And as I grow in self-love, self-esteem and self-respect;<\/p>\n
I find my voice and stand up tall, I make a difference and explore<\/p>\n
Beyond the boundaries that I set a long time ago.<\/p>\n
The whisper in my soul inspires me to accept that I do not need<\/p>\n
The praise and criticism of others in order to succeed.<\/p>\n
And as the whisper filters through the core of who I am<\/p>\n
Empowering the woman in me, to inspire, to achieve and to love<\/p>\n
Myself and who I am and who I will become,<\/p>\n
\u2018I am humbled and in awe,\u2019 I whisper back.<\/p>\n
