We sit together and I tell you things,<\/span><\/div>\n
Silent, unborn, naked things<\/span><\/div>\n
That only my God has heard me say.<\/span><\/div>\n
You do not cluck your tongue at me<\/span><\/div>\n
Or roll your eyes<\/span><\/div>\n
Or split my heart into a thousand thousand pieces <\/span><\/div>\n
With words that have little to do with me.<\/span><\/div>\n
You do not turn away because you cannot bear to see <\/span><\/div>\n
Your own unclaimed light shining in my eyes. <\/span><\/div>\n
You stay with me in the dark.<\/span><\/div>\n
You urge me into being.<\/span><\/div>\n
You make room in your heart for my voice.<\/span><\/div>\n
You rejoice in my joy.<\/span><\/div>\n
And through it all, you stand unbound <\/span><\/div>\n
By everything but the still, small Voice within you.<\/span><\/div>\n
I see my future Self in you <\/span><\/div>\n
Just enough to risk<\/span><\/div>\n
Moving beyond the familiar,<\/span><\/div>\n
Just enough to leave<\/span><\/div>\n
The familiar in the past where it belongs.<\/span><\/div>\n
I breathe you in and I breathe you out<\/span><\/div>\n
In one luxurious and contented sigh.<\/span><\/div>\n
