Howdy friends and Happy New Year to you all!<\/p>\n

It\u2019s been a while since I\u2019ve had a public engagement to tell you about and am delighted to tell you about my upcoming participation as a workshop presenter for WomanKind 2012 in Richmond<\/a>, Va., on Feb. 17-18.<\/p>\n

The event, which is sponsored every two years by St. James Episcopal Church <\/a>is themed this year \u201cHoly Mysteries.\u201d The organizers describe it thusly: \u201cDaily life is full of questions without answers, of things unknown or seemingly unknowable\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n

For the 21st century woman, taught to find answers and create solutions in her hectic everyday life, mystery can be vexing. WomanKind 2012 invites participants not to resist, but to embrace, life\u2019s mysteries.<\/p>\n

Krista Tippett, host of public radio\u2019s \u201cOn Being\u201d and author of Einstein\u2019s God: Conversations about Science and the Human Spirit<\/a><\/em>, will open the fifth annual WomanKind with a keynote address on \u201cThe Art and Mystery of Living.\u201d The Rev. Dr. Lauren Winner, Episcopal priest and author of Girl Meets God<\/em>, will preach at the closing Eucharist.<\/p>\n

In between, six widely recognized and accomplished women will lead workshops on a broad range of practical and spiritual topics with everyday implications for better living \u2014 including parenting, religious diversity, surviving loss, questioning faith and finding balance. Don\u2019t miss this opportunity to be nourished and inspired.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

<\/p>\n

WomanKind was conceived by the Episcopal Church Women of St. James\u2019s Episcopal Church as a way to bring together women in all our diversity to share our experiences, insights and questions on the path toward spiritual renewal. This event draws more than 500 people from around the country to Richmond, Virginia every two years. Space is limited and workshops are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.<\/p>\n

The workshops I\u2019ll be leading on Saturday morning and afternoon are titled, \u201cGRACESPOTTING.\u201d<\/p>\n

Learn to recognize God\u2019s fingerprints in your life story, spotting those grace<\/em><\/p>\n

moments or \u201cGod nods\u201d in your life. We all have them \u2013 if we tune in with<\/em><\/p>\n

the eyes and ears of our hearts and minds, we will better be able to understand<\/em><\/p>\n

the story of our life that God alone is writing.<\/em><\/p>\n
