He\u2019s now in the news for turning up at Sunday\u2019s 2021 BET Awards<\/a> in Los Angeles in a dress designed by Andrea Grossi<\/a>, a young graduate from Polimoda Fashion Institute in Florence.<\/p>\n

One blog <\/a>reported the performer as saying \u201chappy Pride\u201d at the event, and described the creation as:<\/p>\n

A gorgeous look that tells one hell of a story and provides an unforgettable image. The very concept of a Black queer man wearing a Marie Antionette-inspired garment with an 18th Century upper class female silhouette is revolutionary in a lot of ways. That he could do that and still come off sexy and cheeky about it is pretty stunning.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

That \u201cone hell of a story\u201d, according to the Daily Wire<\/em><\/a>, is the Catholic Church\u2019s collaboration with Nazism:<\/p>\n

Grossi explained that the dress he designed, which is part of a project called \u201cWelcome to DeusLand<\/a>,\u201d was intended to liken the Catholic Church to Nazism. \u201cDeusLand\u201d is an apparent play on \u201cDeus,\u201d the Latin word for God, and \u201cDeutschland,\u201d the German name for Germany.<\/p>\n

The right-wing news outlet is no fan of Lil Nas X, also known as Montero Lamar Hill. When he promoted the Satan sneakers, it reported<\/a>:<\/p>\n

Hill\u2019s infernal footwear coincides with the release of the graphic new music video for his new song \u201cMontero (Call Me By Your Name),\u201d which trended at the top of YouTube with more than 25 million views as of Sunday afternoon.<\/p>\n

Replete with biblical and occult imagery, the video depicts Hill being sexually seduced in the Garden of Eden by Satan in serpentine form, after which the camera cuts to the forbidden Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil, made famous for its role in the Book of Genesis and the fall of man.<\/p>\n

Writing for LifeSiteNews<\/em><\/a>, Isabella Childs said:<\/p>\n

Unsurprisingly, Lil Nas X has been accused of corrupting children with Satanism and pornography. Conservative commentator Matt Walsh<\/a> stated on Twitter: \u201c[Lil Nas X] appeared on Sesame Street. Released a children\u2019s book. This is a very intentional strategy.<\/p>\n

\u201cLil Nas X has intentionally cultivated a following of children and is now pushing satanism and pornographic images on that same audience. He\u2019s a predator.\u201d<\/p>\n
