2. Have you heard the Young Cons?<\/a> Wow.\u00a0 Newt Gingrich, move over\u2026<\/p>\n

3. I don\u2019t necessarily subscribe to this line of thinking<\/a> from The Weekly Standard<\/em><\/a>, but I do find the current debate among conservatives about which public approach is best interesting.\u00a0 Populism?\u00a0 Reaganism?\u00a0 Or what?<\/p>\n

4. Charles Krauthammer thunders against the idea<\/a> that the Fort Hood killer\u2019s behavior can be explained by PTSD.\u00a0 A blistering, and apt, column.<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s a quotation to ponder:<\/p>\n

Nor was this the only incident. \u201cThe psychiatrist,\u201d reported Zwerdling, \u201csaid that he was the kind of guy who the staff actually stood around in the hallway saying: Do you think he\u2019s a terrorist, or is he just weird?\u201d<\/p>\n

Was anything done about this potential danger? Of course not. Who wants to be accused of Islamophobia and prejudice against a colleague\u2019s religion?<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Can I say something?\u00a0 Don\u2019t buy the cultural line.\u00a0 Don\u2019t suspend your common sense.\u00a0 Don\u2019t drop your instincts to protect yourself, your family, and your society.\u00a0 Be wise and alert to threats like this, which in a PC society will naturally proliferate.<\/p>\n

5. Allan Fisher of Crossway Books has a great post up on Tabletalk that outlines why Christians should be thankful for evangelical publishers<\/a>.\u00a0 I have huge appreciation for publishers like Crossway, Moody, and Broadman & Holman, to name just a few. (HT: Challies<\/a>)<\/p>\n

6. The Atlantic<\/em> lists the top-25 books of the year.<\/a> My heart is strangely warmed seeing all the history books on this list.<\/p>\n
