I think many evangelicals know that they should pray.\u00a0 They rightly expect that God will lead them as they do so.\u00a0 But they might struggle to affirm how important wisdom is.\u00a0 Learning from situations, being trained in godliness by mentors, and especially having one\u2019s mind and heart shaped by Scripture\u2013this is what the \u201cgetting\u201d of wisdom looks like.\u00a0 It is unbelievably good for you and me.<\/p>\n
So pray like the wind\u2013and get as much wisdom as you possibly can.\u00a0 It\u2019s not wrong to be led by wisdom\u2013it\u2019s directly biblical.\u00a0 Pray for wisdom, in fact\u2013and then live according to it without shame or fear that you\u2019re missing God\u2019s will.\u00a0 Why?\u00a0 Because in Christ \u201cGod gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control\u201d (2 Timothy 1:7).<\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
