I explain why this is so in the media below.<\/p>\n<p>Recently, I\u2019ve had opportunity in my role as Executive Director of the <a href=\"http:\/\/cbmw.org\/\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Council on Biblical Manhood &amp; Womanhood<\/a> (CBMW) to do several interviews that have allowed me to speak to my gospel-driven, positive vision for the organization.<\/p>\n<p>If you\u2019re wondering how complementarianism is truly liberating, if you want to know how the gospel syncs up with sexuality and gender, and how we\u2019re handling same-sex marriage, the following should help.<\/p>\n<p>Here are the links to three pieces of content that the <a href=\"http:\/\/cbmw.org\/men\/news-notes-men\/owen-strachan-on-the-vision-for-cbmw\/\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">CBMW blog picked up<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>1. On\u00a0June 28, <a href=\"http:\/\/reformedforum.org\/podcasts\/ctc287\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\" decorated-link\" rel=\"nofollow\">I spoke with Jared Oliphint at Reformed Forum\u2019s Christ the Center podcast<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>We don\u2019t need to have a narrow focus as complementarians. Our purview theologically covers so much. Think about it: gender, sexuality, family issues,\u00a0discipleship issues \u2026 homosexuality,\u00a0transgender matters, church\/pastoral matters, individual\u00a0Christian walk issues. There is so much.\u00a0What we\u2019re trying to do is build CBMW into a major media outlet for evangelicalism.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/reformedforum.org\/podcasts\/ctc287\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\" decorated-link\" rel=\"nofollow\">Listen to the whole thing here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>_<\/p>\n<p>2. On July 4, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.voice-tribune.com\/news\/cover-story\/supreme-court-rulings-inspire-local-conversation-on-marriage\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\" decorated-link\" rel=\"nofollow\">I spoke with Louisville\u2019s <em>Voice-Tribune<\/em><\/a>\u00a0about the latest Supreme Court rulings regarding marriage.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Strachan, who considers the Bible to be \u201cthe ultimate authority in the world,\u201d said marriage requires not only love and commitment but adherence to Biblical guidelines. \u201cIn embracing same-sex marriage,\u201d he said, \u201cAmerica is turning away from wisdom.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>In Strachan\u2019s view, an anti-discrimination law would jeopardize religious liberty. \u201cThe irony is that discrimination will happen against the religious person who believes that homosexuality is a sin.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.voice-tribune.com\/news\/cover-story\/supreme-court-rulings-inspire-local-conversation-on-marriage\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\" decorated-link\" rel=\"nofollow\">Read the rest here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>_<\/p>\n<p>3. On July 5,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.outofur.com\/archives\/2013\/07\/friday_five_int_11.html\" target=\"_blank\" class=\" decorated-link\" rel=\"nofollow\">I was interviewed by Dan Darling<\/a>\u00a0at the popular\u00a0<em>Leadership Journal\u00a0<\/em>blog, Out of Ur.<\/p>\n<p><strong>We know from practical experience that men and women, though sharing much in terms of spiritual call and purpose, are uniquely created by God for certain roles and responsibilities.
