ATLANTA \u2014\u00a0Chipper Jones<\/a>\u00a0is retired from baseball, but that didn\u2019t keep him from helping out a former\u00a0Atlanta Braves<\/a>\u00a0teammate.<\/em><\/p>\n

With thousands of motorists trapped on Atlanta\u2019s frozen interstates by a deep freeze that had engulfed much of the Southeast, Jones hopped on his four-wheeler and aided Braves first baseman\u00a0Freddie Freeman<\/a>, who had tweeted earlier that he had been stuck for five-plus hours in gridlock because of snow.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Read the whole thing.<\/a>\u00a0My heart goes out to those who weren\u2019t spirited away, too.<\/p>\n

I\u2019ll say this about Chipper. I was never a Braves fan; if you grow up in Maine, you are destined for lifelong Red Sox fandom. This, however, is pretty cool. I love this picture of manhood. Apparently, it is not dead.<\/p>\n
