\"\"<\/a>How well do people of faith stand up to scrutiny?<\/p>\n

We might be about to find out.<\/p>\n

The producers behind Bravo\u2019s<\/a> wildly successful Real Housewives<\/em> <\/a> franchise are looking for a new cast, one that professes Christianity, The Huffington Post reports<\/a>.<\/p>\n

They are looking in Calabasas, California for women who profess Christian faith, apparently inspired by GBC<\/a><\/em> on ABC,<\/a> a show about back-stabbing, gossiping Christians in the South.<\/p>\n

The show won\u2019t officially be a Real Housewives<\/em> show, however.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt makes sense that a lot of different copies of the \u2018Housewife\u2019 franchise will be pitched,\u201d a Bravo executive told HuffPo. \u201cIt\u2019s one of the most successful franchises in TV that we are not looking to expand at the moment. But getting a cast and doing a reel that is shopped around to different networks doesn\u2019t mean the show will ever get picked up.\u201d<\/p>\n

Assuming the show ever gets made, I have some questions:<\/p>\n

1) Will a show of Christian housewives in Southern CA look all that much different than a show about secular housewives in CA? Aside from saying \u201coh my gosh\u201d and \u201cdarn\u201d instead of more colorful language, I mean?<\/p>\n

2) If you were approached to participate in such a show, would you say yes?<\/p>\n

3) Do they get a clothing allowance and\/or designer duds? (This might prompt me to reconsider my answer to #2)<\/p>\n

4) Would you watch such a show?<\/p>\n

5) Do people of faith lead more or less dramatic lives than their secular counterparts? Do they make for good TV viewing?<\/p>\n

Finally: \u00a0What should it be called? Some suggestions:<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Forgiven but not Perfect Housewives of Calabasas?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Holier (Than Thou) Housewives of Calabasas?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAll Good Housewives Go to Heaven?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Sanctified Sweeties of Calabasas?\u201d<\/p>\n
