On the heels of the cancellation of \u201cGCB\u201d<\/a> (short for Good Christian B*****s) on ABC, NBC announced a project with a spiritual theme, \u201cSave Me.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n From their website:<\/p>\n After a near-death experience (choking on a hero sandwich), Beth is revived only to realize she now has a direct line to God. Of course, her husband Tom is skeptical and dismissive \u2013 and his mistress is all but hostile that her lover\u2019s wife is now a prophet! But when inexplicable things begin to happen, everyone\u2019s beliefs are tested. Beth starts to say and do things that shock her family and entrance her friends, but she isn\u2019t going to be your typical \u201cfire and brimstone\u201d prophet. Let\u2019s just say if God had a desperate housewife as His mouthpiece, Beth would be it! She is the absolute last person on Earth who would be chosen. Then again, they say He works in mysterious ways. And this one is a real mystery!<\/em><\/p>\n Beth is played by Anne Heche. The announcement was part of NBC\u2019s upfront presentation in New York, in which they introduce projects to advertisers. They have not said exactly when the series will air but include it in their 2012-2013 lineup.
