He would like to get closer to figuring out the meaning of life. And he\u2019d like to span the globe via social media to do it.<\/p>\n

\u201cWith all that\u2019s going on with communal and collaborative abilities of the web,\u201d he told me, \u201cWe ought to be able to\u00a0communally\u00a0solve problems that have eluded us until now.\u201d<\/p>\n

The filmmaker behind such positive movies as Everything Must Go<\/em> starring Will Ferrell envisions a web community of positive content produced by both professional and everyday videographers.<\/p>\n

To that end, he\u2019s started a web campaign at LifeMeansWhat.com\u00a0<\/a>. With $103,000 of their $150,000 goal raised, they have just a little way to go before the second phase of the project. \u201cIt\u2019s been amazing,\u201d said Erlbaum, \u201cThat people for whom there\u2019s no profit motive are contributing to something they believe in.\u201d<\/p>\n
