Lonely<\/em> \u2013 don\u2019t assume that I don\u2019t understand;<\/p>\n

Suffering from depression<\/em> \u2013\u00a0don\u2019t assume that I don\u2019t understand;<\/p>\n

In physical pain<\/em>\u00a0\u2013\u00a0don\u2019t assume that I don\u2019t understand;<\/p>\n

Angry\u00a0\u2013\u00a0<\/span>don\u2019t assume that I don\u2019t understand;<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

Feeling unforgiven\u00a0\u2013\u00a0<\/span>don\u2019t assume that I don\u2019t understand;<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

Acting Unlovable\u00a0\u2013\u00a0<\/span>don\u2019t assume that I don\u2019t understand;<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

Harboring hate in your heart<\/em> \u2013\u00a0don\u2019t assume that I don\u2019t understand;<\/p>\n

Burying feelings of untoward attraction<\/em>\u00a0\u2013\u00a0don\u2019t assume that I don\u2019t understand;<\/p>\n

Seeking a way out from the unending chaos that is your life<\/em>\u00a0\u2013\u00a0don\u2019t assume that I don\u2019t understand;<\/p>\n

Stressed beyond the breaking point<\/i>\u00a0\u2013\u00a0don\u2019t assume that I don\u2019t understand.<\/p>\n

For we have, each of us, been there. We have, each of us, muddled through similar despair.<\/p>\n

And not only are we just like\u00a0the other, we are called to\u00a0become<\/em>\u00a0the other \u2013 to open our hearts, to thoroughly understand:<\/p>\n

So always treat others as you would like them to treat you; that is the meaning of the Law and the Prophets (Matthew 7:12<\/em>).<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

So be still. Listen closely.<\/p>\n

And pray that our anxious hearts are quieted from within. For in the end, we are never really alone:<\/p>\n
