Chaos usurps the day,<\/p>\n

As fear stands at the ready<\/p>\n

Groping for yet another breach.<\/p>\n

Stirred, we push back.<\/p>\n

Again.<\/p>\n

Only this time, questioning<\/p>\n

Whether our will, our strength<\/p>\n

Can wholly resist<\/p>\n

The lure of surrender.<\/p>\n

Each assault has extracted its price.<\/p>\n

Leaving scars physical,<\/p>\n

And spirits depleted, diminished, defeated.<\/p>\n

We\u2019d all too readily concede this clash<\/p>\n

And console ourselves<\/p>\n

With avarice and flesh.<\/p>\n

Still, you spur us on<\/p>\n

To free our hearts,<\/p>\n

To uncloak our eyes,<\/p>\n

To cast away our vanity.<\/p>\n

And to seek anew your promises<\/p>\n

That your light will,<\/p>\n

Yet again and forever,<\/p>\n

Pierce the darkness.<\/p>\n

And that you are with us always.<\/p>\n

Even until the end of the age.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Peace<\/p>\n
