Landon Whitsitt has a new book out, Open Source Church: Making Room for the Wisdom of All<\/em><\/a><\/strong>, in which he proposes Wikicclesia.\u00a0 (You may recall that I proposed Wikichurch<\/strong> in The New Christians<\/a><\/em>.)\u00a0 The book looks promising, and I\u2019ll be interested to see how he navigates his notion of open source church with his commitment to the Presbyterian Church (USA) \u2014 those two commitments seem mutually exclusive to me.\u00a0 I\u2019ll read the book and get back to you.\u00a0 In the meantime, here\u2019s a post of his at the Alban Institute:<\/p>\n

At some level, the notion of a \u201cWikipedia church\u201d \u2014or \u201cWikicclesia\u201d\u2014 makes a lot of sense, even if we have never thought of it before.<\/p>\n
