We explore this and more at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.new-wineskins.org\/\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">New Wine, New Wineskins\u2019<\/a> upcoming conference \u201cReligious Liberty\u2014for All.\u201d The conference will take place on Saturday, March 14, 2020 at Multnomah University in Portland, Oregon.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div data-automation=\"listing-event-description\">\n<p>The question of religious liberty is a contentious one in our current culture. Often discussions of religious liberty have the connotation of applying to one religious group, but not others. What would religious liberty \u201cfor all\u201d look like in our pluralistic society? How can Christians expect people of other faith traditions and ideological perspectives in our increasingly diverse culture to respect our desire for religious liberty if we do not respect theirs? What if Evangelical Christians were known more for being for others and to bless human flourishing than for being against those who think differently? These are exceedingly difficult and challenging questions.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"g-group l-mar-bot-6 l-sm-mar-bot-4\">\n<div class=\"structured-content g-cell g-cell-10-12 g-cell-md-1-1\">\n<div class=\"has-user-generated-content\" data-automation=\"about-this-event-sc\">\n<div class=\"structured-content-rich-text structured-content__module l-align-left l-mar-vert-6 l-sm-mar-vert-4 text-body-medium\">\n<p>Our keynote speaker is the president of the National Association of Evangelicals, Leith Anderson. He\u00a0will be joined by various presenters from different faith traditions and ways of life.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Our conference hopes to:<\/p>\n<p>1. Explore and consider the historical backdrop of our country\u2019s formation and present-day complexities surrounding advocating for distinctively Christian freedom in an increasingly pluralistic society.<\/p>\n<p>2. Provide a sound biblical and constitutional basis for understanding the proper relation of church and state.<\/p>\n<p>3. Highlight the missional importance of promoting not only Christians\u2019 freedoms, but everyone\u2019s religious freedoms, including freedom from religion in America today.<\/p>\n<p>4. Help all gathered to consider the prospects and problems in our day associated with the \u201cnaked public square.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>5.
