In case two posts<\/a> on strategy for debates on religion<\/a> wasn\u2019t hint enough, I\u2019d be very game to argue with people offline. \u00a0If you\u2019re part of a religious or atheist group that hosts speakers, I\u2019d love to come and give the other side what-for. \u00a0I\u2019m happy to speak at a student group or a church or pretty much any venue. \u00a0(I managed to get into a religion debate during an ASL lesson<\/a>, clearly I don\u2019t require much).<\/p>\n

As readers of this blog know, I\u2019m a really weird<\/em> atheist, so you won\u2019t just be hearing a retread of arguments you already know from skimming\u00a0Wikipedia\u00a0or reading the Four Horsemen<\/a>. \u00a0And I do my homework; I won\u2019t show up and try and skewer one religion by expecting it to hold to the creed of another sect. \u00a0I just can\u2019t promise that we won\u2019t slip into a few side debates over the dignity of the body<\/a> or ways to structure marriage<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Oh, and I\u2019m not picky. \u00a0I\u2019m glad to pick fights with fellow atheists who disagree with me about virtue ethics, transhumanism, philosophy of math, etc. \u00a0\u201cIs there a God?\u201d isn\u2019t the only interesting question.<\/p>\n

So send me an email<\/a> if you\u2019ve got a venue and ideas about a sparring partner. \u00a0I live in the DC area, so local is better unless you\u2019ve got the funds to fly me somewhere.<\/p>\n
