<\/a><\/div>\nHence the lack of posts recently. \u00a0Nothing bad, just fever and sore throat + runny nose which unfortunately rules out any chance I have strep and could have this cleared up by antibiotics, alas. \u00a0I should be up to posting (and responding to your comments on ethics case studies one<\/a> and two<\/a>) soon, but, in the meantime, here\u2019s some other reading you can do:<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n I<\/em>\u2018m reading novels (since I\u2019m pretty sure they boost my immune system) and I\u2019m about to start Sunshine<\/a><\/em> by Robin McKinley. \u00a0It was recommended to me by a friend who said it was the only good<\/em>\u00a0vampire novel she\u2019s read. \u00a0I\u2019m inclined to trust her, since I love Robin McKinley, especially Spindle\u2019s End<\/a><\/em>, which is set in the most engrossing world I\u2019ve visited in a fantasy novel. \u00a0(I love the feeling of the world in Patricia Dean\u2019s Tam Lin<\/a><\/em>, and I keep rereading it, even though I always find the plot to be a huge disappointment).<\/p>\n I was cheered on my sickbed to get an email notification that a new chapter of Harry Potter and the Methods of Rationality<\/a><\/em>\u00a0came out last night. \u00a0HP&tMoR; is an excellent<\/em>\u00a0work of Harry Potter fanfiction written by AI researcher Eliezer Yudowsky. \u00a0If you\u2019d like a quick taste of his work, try \u201cThe Sword of Good<\/a>\u201d or \u201cThree Worlds Collide<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n And if you\u2019re in the mood for more<\/em>\u00a0series to catch up on, try Tom Siddell\u2019s fantastic webcomic Gunnerkrigg Court<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/a><\/div>\n
