<\/a><\/p>\nI have exams\/papers<\/a> and have been trying (and failing) to ignore the internet. \u00a0While I\u2019m blocking it, you can check out some of my favorite webcomics below.<\/p>\n Unsurprisingly, one of my absolute favorite webcomics is xkcd<\/a>, which bills itself as \u201ca webcomic of romance, sarcasm, math, and language.\u201d \u00a0I\u2019m a proud owner of the \u201cStand Back, I\u2019m Going to Try Science\u201d t-shirt<\/a>, but my proudest xkcd link is the one that got me and three friends into the xkcd in Real Life<\/a>\u00a0heading on the wikipedia page. \u00a0Inspired by this cartoon<\/a>, three friends and I dressed up as ninjas and accosted Richard Stallman<\/a>\u00a0at a Yale Political Union<\/a> debate my freshman year. \u00a0In the photo below, I\u2019m the ninja on the right with upraised arms.<\/p>\n A more general interest webcomic I follow is Questionable Content<\/a>\u00a0which follows the personal relationships and associated drama of a group of friends. \u00a0 Kind of a sitcom in webcomic form.<\/p>\n And back on the incredibly geeky side are Order of the Stick<\/a> and Erfworld<\/a>, both of which are probably not very funny if you\u2019ve never played Dungeons and Dragons, but are unspeakably amusing if you have. \u00a0(My whole AP Computer Science took it up in high school after the AP exams were over and we decided to find the geekiest possible thing to do in class for the rest of the year).<\/p>\n Dave Mailki, the author of Wondermark<\/a>, creates his comics by scanning Victorian engravings and woodcuts and then cutting and pasting the people in them into bizarre situations of his own devisings. \u00a0(The t-shirt<\/a> based on the above comic is pretty excellent).<\/p>\n The Adventures of Dr. McNinja<\/a> (a doctor who is also a ninja) take absurdity to a whole new level. \u00a0The good doctor has faced down banditos riding velociraptors, children infected with Paul Bunyan Disease, and the zombie of the clone of Benjamin Franklin. \u00a0The comic is exceedingly delightful.<\/p>\n \u2026and that pretty much sums up how amusing Saturday Morning Breakfast Cereal<\/a> is.<\/p>\n My absolute favorite webcomic is Gunnerkrigg Court<\/a>. \u00a0GC is essentially a graphic novel being published serially online (though you can also buy it in book<\/a> form<\/a>). \u00a0It\u2019s a coming of age story set in a fantasy\/scifi world with beautifully drawn characters (in terms of personal development and art). \u00a0It takes a few chapters to get the series plot moving, but it\u2019s absolutely thrilling and the first thing I check on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings. \u00a0If you\u2019re going to pick only one of these to get hooked on, check out Gunnerkrigg Court.<\/p>\n![\"\"](\"https:\/\/1.bp.blogspot.com\/_b7Eh98KJ_qI\/TQruyGpzjbI\/AAAAAAAABK0\/YJZeLFilYoQ\/s400\/stallman+ninjas.jpg\")
