Ok, so the fact that it took me the entire day on Saturday to write my coming out post should have tipped me off that it was going to be hard to respond quickly and efficiently to some of the follow-up questions you guys have. \u00a0I\u2019m making a list here of the most common posts people seem to want so I can focus on them. \u00a0The second list is some of the posts I<\/em> want to write that are going to get interspersed in with the more meaty ones about conversion so I can stay sane and you won\u2019t lack for discussion of medical ethics and statistics. \u00a0The second list is more for me, so the only comments on this post should be mentioning a topic you think I haven\u2019t listed that should be high priority or mentioning a facet of a topic I have<\/em> listed that you want to make sure I cover. <\/em><\/strong>There should definitely not be any simply \u201cYay\u201d or \u201cGrrr\u201d messages \u00a0in this thread, since that will make it harder for me to scan through and find the content-y posts. \u00a0Here\u2019s the top five, as far as I can tell:<\/p>\n

  1. Wait, so who the heck are you?<\/strong> \u2013 Basically a clipshow post that lets new readers have a better sense of some things I think now or beliefs I\u00a0abandoned<\/li>\n
  2. How\u2019d you get from \u201cMorality loves me\u201d to Catholicism?<\/strong> \u2013 Why did my change of heart re: God lead me to this particular<\/em> God and structure. \u00a0(This may get split into \u201cWhy not Deism?\u201d and \u201cOk, but even granting that, why the heck Catholicism?\u201d)<\/li>\n
  3. But isn\u2019t\u00a0Catholicism awful<\/em>? How bad does it\u2019s actions have to be before it self-disqualifies?\u00a0\u2013<\/strong> I think the title kinda says it all, but I\u2019m disappointed that almost no one\u2019s brought up the Cadaver Synod<\/a>.<\/li>\n
  4. So how much of this do you agree with now? What are you gonna do about it? <\/strong>\u2013 People have been bringing up the metaphysical (transubstantiation), ethical (queer folks like me), and structural (hierarchy). \u00a0I can\u2019t cover everything, but I\u2019ll do bits that will hopefully give you a broader sense of how I\u2019m approaching this stuff.<\/li>\n
  5. Isn\u2019t it awfully weird to be blogging this? How is this going to work?<\/strong> \u2013 Not as much as you\u2019d think, but let\u2019s chat.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
