There are less than two months til Halloween, and I\u2019m pretty behind on costuming. \u00a0Last year I was a cyberpunk courier<\/a>, and this year I\u2019m planning to be a dryad. \u00a0Last year\u2019s costume was finished in a couple of hellish late nights, and I\u2019d really like to avoid that fate this year. \u00a0Except I made a map using Freemind<\/a> of everything I need to do and think about, and the results were sobering.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

So, would you all mind if I did a costuming progress post every Monday so you can shame me if I\u2019m falling behind? \u00a0I\u2019ll post progress pics and tell you what I plan to do this week, and then you\u2019ll see how well I do when Monday rolls around.<\/p>\n

This past week, I finally drafted my corset pattern (or, at least, it\u2019s first iteration). \u00a0I used Cathy Hay\u2019s guide to drafting a custom corset<\/a> which is excellent and requires 14 separate measurements (thank goodness for my housemate and for Hulu).<\/p>\n
