People magazine<\/a> post PETA Senior Vice President Lisa Lange says \u201cpeople are rightly horrified to learn that Azealia Banks reportedly has been slaughtering chickens in her closet for three years, and that she is apparently so out of touch with public sentiment that she bragged about it on social media.\u201d<\/p>\nAbout her practices Banks also posted the statement \u201cReal witches do real things.\u201d I know a lot of witches who aren\u2019t going to like that, especially the ones who live by the credo \u201d harm none.\u201d However, these practices do exist. There isn\u2019t much I can say to explain it to people who don\u2019t understand the necessity of animals in connection with magick. I will however ask these people to consider the use of animals as food, footwear, and medicine. When I ask people if they would use parts of a chicken to save a loved one\u2019s life if it was part of a medical diagnosis, why can\u2019t they consider the possibility of a spiritual diagnosis involving sacrifice? It seems to me it is a matter of faith, and that is something people need to navigate for themselves.<\/p>\n
