\u00a0<\/p>\n Once again Pres. Trump proves he is obsessed with power and is only looking out for himself. America broke away from Britain because of the oppressive rule<\/a> of a king:<\/p>\n The irony of the American experiment is that the colonists and America grew and became a great nation only after they broke free from the British monarchy. The colonists served a heavenly King, not an earthly one.<\/p>\n One of the things the colonists wanted most was religious freedom<\/a> from the British king\u2019s control. To force a religious belief on anyone in America is both anti-American and anti-Christian.<\/p>\n I agree with President Trump, Long live the King\u2014but not him. America didn\u2019t become a great nation because of an earthly king, but because of a Heavenly King. God has sole Kingship over His people and His kingdom (Psalm 29:10, Hebrews 1:3.)<\/p>\n Most of us remember learning about kings and monarchies<\/a> in school, mainly in regard to England and European countries. These nations are under the rule of a king who is the head of state.<\/p>\n A king is defined as, \u201cA male monarch; one whose position is hereditary and who rules for life.\u201d\u00a0 Kings have been romanticized in fictional stories for a millennia. However earthly kings are fallen with sinful natures, just like the rest of us.<\/p>\n Earthly kings can be manipulated and controlled by the people. Biblically we are told that kings and all authorities get their powers from God alone (Daniel 2:21, Romans 13:1-2, Hebrews 13:17.)<\/p>\n The Bible and Christianity have a lot to say about kings and their authority. Kings and earthly leaders get their authority from God and they bow to His authority (Psalm 72:11.)<\/p>\n God raises up kings and He removes them from power \u00a0(Daniel 2:21, 1 Timothy 6:15.) God is our only perfect King and Lord<\/a> (1 Corinthians 8:5, Philippians 2:9-11, Colossians 1:16, Revelation 19:16.) The apostles remembered their Jewish education about God and kings.<\/p>\n We don\u2019t understand kings like our Jewish forefathers did. The ancient world was ruled by kings and pharaohs who promised to make people into great nations that prospered and conquered.<\/p>\n When God called Abraham from his father\u2019s land and idols, He promised to make Abraham and his descendants into a great nation (Genesis 12:1-3.) God promised to make Abraham\u2019s descendants as numerous as the stars and into a nation that will reign for eternity (Genesis 15:5; 17:4-6; 22:17-18.)<\/p>\n Abraham was faithful to His Lord and King. The Hebrew word in the Old Testament for king is mele\u1e35 and it also could mean, \u201cRoyal,\u201d depending on the context it is used in.<\/em><\/p>\n A couple of generations later God delivered His people from another king, the Pharaoh of Egypt. After arriving miraculously in the Promised Land, God\u2019s people cried out for God to give them an earthly king (1 Samuel 8:6-22.)<\/p>\n God<\/a> had been a faithful king and delivered them, yet they rejected Him because they wanted earthly power and greatness. So God answered their cries and gave them what they wanted earthly kings<\/a>, some good, but most were wicked.<\/p>\n Even the great hope and prophecy about the Jewish Messiah promised He would be a great King from the lineage of King David (2 Samuel 7:12-13, Isaiah 9:6-7; 11:1-2; Psalm 89:3-4.)<\/p>\n When the Messiah arrived, he wasn\u2019t the great mighty King God\u2019s people wanted, but a humble servant and teacher. So Jesus had to explain to His followers that God\u2019s Kingdom is not of or like this world (Matthew 6:33, Luke 22:29, John 15:19; 18:36-37.)<\/p>\n Jesus spent three years teaching his followers how God\u2019s Kingdom and true greatness work (Matthew 18:1-4; 20:25-28; 23:11-12, Mark 9:33-37, Luke 9:46-48.) Jesus turned God\u2019s people\u2019s idea of greatness upside down and even the religious experts in the law didn\u2019t like it (Matthew 23:1-7.)<\/p>\n Once again God\u2019s people rejected their heavenly King because they wanted earthly greatness and they eventually killed their King.<\/p>\n This week so-called conservatives<\/a> gathered in Washington DC to discuss the Republican agenda going forward. However, their agenda is anything conservative or American. One of their primary goals announced during the conference was to launch an initiative<\/a> to give President Trump a third term in office.<\/p>\n First off, the forefathers of America never intended for America to be under the rule of another king. More than 70 years ago the Constitution was amended<\/a> to ensure that America never fell prey to another power-hungry ruler who wanted to stay in office.<\/p>\n It will take another act of Congress to amend the Constitution to allow a president to serve more than two terms. We can only hope and pray that our elected officials will not allow America to be set back more than 200 years and be placed under the rule of a king wannabe<\/a>.<\/p>\n During the conference, President Pro Tem Musk branded a chainsaw<\/a> to brag and boast how he is cutting up our federal government and doing the president\u2019s bidding. Whatever happened to Christian and conservative values like term limits and not abusing power or boasting about it?<\/p>\n Magna and CPAC are anti-Christian and anti-American because they focus on a temporary kingdom. Once again God\u2019s people have rejected God and His ways because they want an earthly king to make them great.<\/p>\n Even with the Bible and the knowledge of our Jewish forefathers rejecting God, God\u2019s people have easily turned from Him for whatever tickles their ears (Matthew 24:10-12, 2 Timothy 4:3-4.)<\/p>\n Look at what King Trump\u2019s greatness has gotten us so far. America has been booed<\/a> and laughed at by other nations. Inflation<\/a> is on the rise.
