Nebula
Nebula is the semi-cyborg sister of Gamora, the Guardians’ green-skinned warrior. And boy howdy, does the girl have some sibling rivalry issues. We’re told fairly early that their father—the super-duper-villain Thanos—regularly pitted the sisters against each other. And every time Nebula lost, her daddy would pluck off a piece of her and replace it with a bit of machinery. Talk about a difficult childhood.
I’m curious about what Nebula was like as a child. Did she want to please her father? Earn his love and approval? Did she ever long to connect with her sister in a way that didn’t involve the two trying to maim each other? Whatever hole she developed as a child, and whatever hunger she feels now, she feeds it with rage.
