The first smell of the flowers is reserved for the Gods.<\/p>\n<p>In order to have flowers for pujas, I started growing my own in my areogarden (I LOVE these things)<\/p>\n<p>Even though it\u2019s so high up, the cat has finally figured out how to get up there and he sits on the flowers and smells them. Sigh.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/wp-media.patheos.com\/blogs\/sites\/317\/2014\/05\/moksha-and-flowers.jpg\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-4866\" title=\"moksha and flowers\" src=\"https:\/\/wp-media.patheos.com\/blogs\/sites\/317\/2014\/05\/moksha-and-flowers-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"614\" height=\"461\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>At first I was upset because the Gods are supposed to have the first smell, not the cat. But then I thought, <em>well the cat IS God<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>It reminds me of one of my favorite stories.<\/p>\n<p>A man was having a picnic.
