I used to trust the police. I grew up believing in authority figures. Police exist to protect us, to keep us safe. If I\u2019m lost, they will help me. If I\u2019m afraid, they will help me.<\/p>\n

Every day it becomes more clear that I was able to feel that way because I have light skin.<\/p>\n

Every day more innocent people are being murdered by those who are supposed to protect them<\/strong> and I feel so horribly helpless against it. When new stories pour in every day of innocent black lives lost to those who should have protected them, I can no longer trust police. I can no longer believe in America\u2019s system of authority. We have failed our people<\/strong>. When the murderers don\u2019t even get a sentence, we have so deeply failed the entire American way.<\/p>\n

All I have is words. It\u2019s not enough. But what more can I do? All I can do is say THIS IS WRONG. THIS IS ADHARMA. This is the worst that the kali yuga has to offer, I think.<\/p>\n

Innocent people who cannot feel safe in this supposed land of plenty.<\/p>\n

White people proudly marching through stores with assault rifles in order to prove that they have the constitutional right to weapons, but a black man shot and killed because he was holding a toy gun in that same store. A toy SOLD in that store.<\/p>\n

Where is the equality that America promised? How can we sit by and allow our citizens to be killed? Worse than that, those who kill them get no punishment, no consequences. What is this world we live in? How did it become so depraved?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Tell anyone who will listen, Black Lives Matter. Protesters of Ferguson have my complete support.<\/h2>\n
