Dog Bodhi and I will be in Omaha this weekend, hanging out with dog and human friends, especially Nonin. On Sunday I\u2019ll give the talk at the Nebraska Zen Center (click here<\/a>) so if you\u2019re in the neighborhood, please come by. Probably I\u2019ll talk from the Tenzo Kyokun, Instructions for the Cook<\/i>, the online practice focus.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The following Saturday, April 24th, from 9am-noon, I\u2019ll be leading an introductory workshop in Spearfish, South Dakota. If you\u2019d like to come to that, send me an email (wildfoxzen@gmail.com) and I\u2019ll get you registered.\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n

I\u2019ll be in Spearfish in order to offer a couple sessions at Black Hills University late next week, talking to a philosophy class and giving an open zazen instruction session.\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n

I was out to Spearfish a few years ago and had a great time at the college. The room was set up with chairs for the ~50 young people and when I mentioned that I usually sat zazen on the floor, they spontaneously kicked off their shoes and hopped on the floor, collectively inventing the Nike zafu. \u00a0 <\/span><\/div>\n
