We were up north for a wonderful weekend. Above is the sunrise over Lake Superior.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

I love the lake and near environs. 10% of the planet\u2019s fresh water and all.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

We are looking for a move in a few years where we could offer Zen practice and so spent some time over the weekend playing with the possibilities of living and practicing near Grand Marais, MN. It\u2019d be a homecoming for me.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

So i<\/span><\/span>f you\u2019re a Zen student living up there somewhere and would like to get a practice community going, get in touch.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The Tongue Says Loneliness<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The tongue says loneliness, anger, grief,<\/span><\/span>
but does not feel them.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

As Monday cannot feel Tuesday,<\/span><\/span>
nor Thursday<\/span><\/span>
reach back to Wednesday<\/span><\/span>
as a mother reaches out for her found child.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

As this life is not a gate, but the horse plunging through it.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Not a bell,<\/span><\/span>
but the sound of the bell in the bell-shape,<\/span><\/span>
lashing full strength with the first blow from inside the iron.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
