It is vital that we clarify and harmonize our lives with our work and not lose sight of either the absolute or the practical. \u2013 Dogen<\/span><\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

I just finished working through the Tenzo Kyokun (Instructions for the Cook)<\/i> again, planning the ten sessions of the upcoming online practice period. The above quote says a lot of what we\u2019ll be doing \u2013 harmonizing our lives and our work, whether that work be in the home, the practice place, the community or the work place.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

And just like the text says, even after going over this old dog many times through the years, looking at it again in detail and with what openness of heart I could arouse \u2013 brilliant white snow stretching beyond the horizon. And, oh, maybe a piece of dog poop there too.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
