Beginning on February 20th<\/sup><\/span> and ending May 22nd<\/sup><\/span> we enter a 90-day online practice period, rolling up our sleeves and going to play with daily zazen, studying Tenzokyokun, (Instructions to the Cook)<\/i><\/span>, actualizing the teaching in the daily routine of our lives, meeting almost weekly online (see dates below),<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>and engaging in \u201cmutual polishing\u201d with a practice partner and online community. <\/span><\/p><\/div>\n
You are invited to explore participation on Saturday, February 13th, 9:00-10:00am CST (-6 UMT), by attending our introduction to online practice, including we will be <\/span>
\u2013 Taking up the practice wholeheartedly inspired by others and inspiring others<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n\u2013 Speaking from within the practice (rather than as an observer), putting forward your experience and wisdom<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n\u2013 Making workable commitments within the context of our innermost request<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n\u2013 Expanding workability between teacher and student, and between student and student.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
<\/span>Our intention as a practice community is to play full out in the middle way \u2013 not too tight and not too loose. Our aim is to do exceptional work together like stones mutually polishing each other.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

If you need to miss more than two sessions, please join a practice period in the future. Computer access to Webex, headphones, and microphone are required. Fee: $200 (includes 2 practice meetings with Dosho, Webex meetings, ongoing support from Dosho, your practice partner, and the practice community). No one will be excluded for financial reasons so if necessary, please contact the registrar for an adjustment.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
We begin as a practice community fresh every time so there is nothing to know or to bring to the practice period other than your natural curiosity, willingness to play, and goodheartedness.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
For people new to zazen, a commitment to 30 minutes a day is recommended. If you\u2019ve been sitting for a while, 60 minutes is recommended.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
