<\/a><\/div>\nThe photo above was taken a few days ago at sunrise during a sweet walk with Bodhi. Today we have cold light rain and after the afternoon dog walk, ending in the dark, I made some fried rice for us.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\nThis early evening <\/span>I\u2019m so grateful for this simple, quiet life. I\u2019m grateful for my kids for their aliveness and love. For my family for how they give this <\/span>homeleaver in spirit<\/span> so much space (granted my dear mom offers up a line with a guilt hook from time-to-time, but still\u2026).\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\nI\u2019m grateful for all the young people that I\u2019ve known these past five-and-a- half years in the schools, so full of it, so resilient, and so unyielding in the face of intense adversity.
<\/span>
I\u2019m grateful for my friends, mostly dharma<\/a> friends, for their companionship on this dark road on this dark night.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\nI\u2019m grateful for my partner, especially for all the ways she challenges me and for how we love in such harmony.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\nI\u2019m grateful for all those who came before us on this little blue-dumpling planet and especially for those who lived and died so that we might have the opportunity to see for ourselves (with a silly grin):

Although this inconceivable dharma is abundant in each person, not actualized without practice, and it is not experienced without realization.\u00a0\u00a0<\/i><\/span>
