\"imgres\"<\/a>Kaz Tanahashi\u2019s new book<\/a> is a treasure trove of Heart Sutra<\/em> material, delightfully diverse and quietly quirky. I read the book enthusiastically in one day \u2013 an unusual thing for me (I usually like to go slow with dharma<\/a> books) \u2013 and was energized by\u00a0the experience.<\/p>\n

Kaz is an unassuming man who\u2019s long been an integral member of the Zen scene in the West, widely acclaimed for his vibrant calligraphy<\/a> and wide-ranging translations including Dogen\u2019s Shobogenzo, <\/em>the Tao De Ching<\/em>, a delightful book on Ryokan, and a personal favorite,\u00a0A Flock of Fools: Ancient Buddhist<\/a> Tales of Wisdom and Laughter from the One Hundred Parable Sutra.\u00a0<\/em> Kaz has also had a long career as a peacemaking, creative, social activist. Kaz claims to be lazy and yet has accomplished more than >99% of the humans on the planet.
