On Saturday my kids and I went whitewater rafting on the St. Louis River up north near where I grew up.\n

I have fond memories from my days as a boy on this river and so wanted to expose my kids to it.<\/p>\n

You can\u2019t step in the same river twice, of course, but we had a great time.<\/p>\n

The top photo shows a small rapids, btw, with me cringing in the front. The Google Earth shot is of a couple of the drops that were about 5 feet but seemed about 15 feet as we approached. I got knocked on my butt and almost in the water while going through one like a turtle on my back, hearing the guides instructions to lean forward and being completely unable to do so.
