with the strength of merit and virtue,<\/span><\/div>\n

Dogen\u2019s two minds are very similar to Hashimoto\u2019s from a couple posts ago. The question, \u201cHow do we practice fully?\u201d is how to engage both Way Minds. Forgetting self and freeing others is entangled with the karma of clear action. (Or you might say \u201cwholesomeness\u201d but that\u2019s way to Wheaties for me.) <\/span><\/div>\n

In the last line the original says \u201chomeland,\u201d but given our insecurity and the Department of Homeland Security, I\u2019ve tweaked it to \u201chometown.\u201d This time of year, my hometown is white and soft-gold with a speckled slew of muted browns and grays.<\/span><\/div>\n
