I\u2019m up taking my early morning turn with puppy Bodhi and he\u2019s quite happy at the moment chewing on a rope. Anyway, I didn\u2019t have a clue to who David Saderis was. It could just be due to my bad memory that I like to think is the result of 30 years of zazen (some people say that happens), although my brother\u2019s memory is worse and he has sat a sum total of 15 minutes during these 30 years. Could be genetics. Early onset of dementia. More likely, I miss a lot of what\u2019s going on in this culture \u2013 white, black, and all through the rainbow.<\/p>\n
So I googled \u201cDavid Saderis\u201d and found something that could revolutionize Zen. No more need for short zazen periods to accommodate the aging male boomers with grapefruit size prostates! Anyway, take a look and if you try the \u201cstadium pal\u201d please let me know if it works. Dogen had a lot to say about \u201ctoileting\u201d and this might add at least one chapter to the American Shobogenzo.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
