One source of inspiration for me \u2013 really positive things and not just gloom and doom \u2013 that I didn\u2019t mention is the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.worldchanging.com\/\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">World Changing: Change Your Thinking<\/a> site.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: large\"><span style='font-family: Georgia,\"Times New Roman\",serif'>Here\u2019s Alex Steffen\u2019s TED presentation about creating a sustainable and better world, including bright green cities, straws filter almost any water on the planet and make it drinkable as you suck and merry-go-rounds that pump water.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: large\"><span style='font-family: Georgia,\"Times New Roman\",serif'> http:\/\/video.ted.com\/assets\/player\/swf\/EmbedPlayer.swf\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: large\"><span style='font-family: Georgia,\"Times New Roman\",serif'>At the end, Steffen gives us this from H.G.Wells:<\/span><\/span><br><span style=\"font-size: large\"><span style='font-family: Georgia,\"Times New Roman\",serif'>\u201cAll of the past is but the beginning of a beginning; all the human mind has accomplished is but the dream before awakening.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: large\"><span style='font-family: Georgia,\"Times New Roman\",serif'>Let\u2019s live it together!<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"blogger-post-footer\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1\" height=\"1\" src=\"https:\/\/blogger.googleusercontent.com\/tracker\/4330911338438640912-6567236972556536020?l=wildfoxzen.blogspot.com\" alt=\"\"><\/div>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On Sunday I had the opportunity to speak to the community of the Buddhist Temple of Ann Arbor Zen about one of the topics most dear to me \u2013 the precarious situation of our planet and what we can do about it.
