I\u2019ve started a Dosho Port Patreon page and you are very much welcome to join me there as a patron. I\u2019ve already loaded a handful audio and video recordings of recent talks, in addition to a couple blog posts. See below for a detail list of what\u2019s there now. I plan to share some photos of my Minnesota life there too as well as regular updates about my activities.<\/p>\n

I will be continuing to post here on Patheos \u2013 my less controversial work \u2013 with no paywall. For example, coming very soon here at Wild Fox Zen blog is another translation by K\u014dky\u014d Henkel, this one of the portion of The Record of Rujing that is attributed to D\u014dgen. Importantly, it includes D\u014dgen\u2019s enlightenment story \u2013 the only place we know that he\u2019d shared it in all his voluminous writing.<\/p>\n

What will you find at the Dosho Port Patreon Page?<\/h2>\n

I \u2018ve been working on a series of essays about the great teachers in our One Zen School tradition before and after D\u014dgen as a way of broadening the conversation about the heart of our Zen way. The series started with a couple posts here on Wild Fox Zen blog \u2013 The Luminous Koun Ej\u014d Zenji: Background, Awakening, Legacy <\/a>and a translation by K\u014dky\u014d Henkel of Keizan\u2019s \u201cAnswers to Ten Questions from the Emperor.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n

Most recently I\u2019ve written \u201cPunning, Toileting, Purifying: the Awakening of R\u00faj\u00ecng\u201d \u2013 available now on the Dosho Port Patreon<\/a> page. Coming soon is a post on Rujing\u2019s compassion practice and a central k\u014dan in Rujing\u2019s teaching.<\/p>\n

And given the recent death of one of the most important teachers of our lifetimes, Thich Nhat Hanh, I\u2019ve written \u201cDon\u2019t Build Me a Stupa: The Legacy of Thich Nhat Hanh.\u201d Spoiler alert: I\u2019m not interested in glorifying the man. And speaking of throw snowballs at icons, I\u2019ve also recently drafted \u201cSuzuki Roshi on S\u014dt\u014d, Rinzai and Householder Practice.\u201d That will also be posted at Patreon soon.<\/p>\n
