Not long ago we asked Wild Goose Board Member, Melvin Bray, what the festival meant to him. Below is his guest post addressing that question, which he requested be shared alongside the \u201cLast Message\u201d by Wild Goose staffer, Jacob Kuntz, following his post.<\/strong><\/div>\n

The reason I\u2019m excited about the Wild Goose is fairly simple. I\u2019ve spent the better part of my life (all but about 5 years) enamored by the myth of kingdom come. You know, \u201cThy kingdom come; thy will be done.\u201d\u00a0 \u201cDo unto others as you would have them do unto you.\u201d\u00a0 \u201cLove your enemies, pray for those who curse you, do good to those who spitefully use you.\u201d\u00a0 It\u2019s the most beautiful story I\u2019ve ever heard, and it seems like, \u201cDuh, why wouldn\u2019t we want to live that way.\u201d<\/div>\n
As an adult, I\u2019ve been drawn to any experiment that appeared it might inch me a bit closer to\u00a0such beauty. As my friend Karla Yaconelli is fond of saying, \u201cWild Goose is the \u2018Love your neighbor\u2019 festival.\u201d I can\u2019t think of much more kingdom-come than that!<\/div>\n

So I hope to see you at the Goose. \u201cThis love\u2019s for everyone,\u201d including you.<\/p>\n
