BONUS:<\/strong> Remember all the fuss back in 2010<\/a> over\u00a0\u00a0 Christine O\u2019Donnell<\/a>\u2018s candidacy? The infamous \u201cI\u2019m not a Witch\u201d ad?<\/a>\u00a0\u00a0O\u2019Donnell\u00a0 completely dominated the election news cycle that year<\/a>\u00a0thanks to comments made over ten years ago that she had \u201cdabbled\u201d with \u201cwitchcraft\u201d. The abundance of mean-spirited mockery had some in our community questioning why \u201cdabbling\u201d in a minority religion is such a deal-breaker for political office.<\/p>\n

Now, talk show host Bill Maher, who released the \u201cwitch\u201d comments from an old show, apologized personally to O\u2019Donnell this past Friday, saying that \u201cI don\u2019t agree with your ideas but it shouldn\u2019t have hung on that stupid witch thing.\u201d<\/em><\/a>\u00a0O\u2019Donnell, for her part, admitted that some of the damage was self-inflicted, and that she may run for office again in the future.<\/p>\n
