Update 4:15 pm CST:

Michael Cohen pleaded guilty in court today in front of a Federal Judge. In a statement to the court, he told the judge he committed the crimes “in coordination and at the direction” of a Presidential Candidate. The crimes he referred to were a payment made of $130,000 to Stormy Daniels and a payment of $150,000 to the National Enquirer.

Cohen admitted to the court that the payments were made to suppress damaging information from influencing the election. He said the direction to make the payments came from the Presidential Candidate.

Did you hear that folks?

Cohen is saying a sitting President instructed him to break the law.

He pleaded guilty to a total of eight counts. Michael Cohen is now a convicted felon for tax evasion, campaign finance violations, and false bank statements. Cohen failed to disclose more than $4.1 million in income between the years of 2012-2016.

Trump is not charged in this matter. However, Cohen implicated Trump as a co-conspirator to the crimes.

Cohen will be sentenced in December.

The Washington Post reports that Former Trump attorney Michael Cohen will plead guilty to several charges today. According to their sources, Cohen will plead guilty to tax fraud, bank fraud, and campaign finance violations. Cohen will face a Federal Judge today at 4 pm Eastern Standard Time.

The hearing and plea agreement come after months of investigations done by a grand jury. The investigation included reviewing the business records, financial records, a taxi business, and hush agreements Cohen made on behalf of Presiden Trump during the 2016 Presidential Election.

Michael Cohen surrendered to the FBI earlier this afternoon. According to sources, the plea will include jail time and a substantial monetary fine. Sources also indicate that Cohen is not required to cooperate with the government on other cases as a part of this plea.

The prosecutors from the U.S. Attorney’s office are expected to speak following court proceedings.

The plea and arrest of Michael Cohen is a massive blow for President Trump. Michael Cohen worked closely with Trump for more than a decade. He called himself the “fixer.” He prided himself on cleaning up Trump’s messes. Most notably silencing women with hush agreements like Stormy Daniels prior to the election. A payment of $130,000 to Daniels days before the 2016 election was a focus of the investigation.

I can already envision steam coming out of the President’s ears. Who else can’t wait for a Twitter tantrum by the President?

I’ll be waiting with baited breath.

Stay Tuned.

  • With all of his allies, helpers and fixers falling one by one, I wonder what Mr. President must be thinking, right now: from what I’ve been able to perceive, it looks like at the White House they’ve done little to nothing to actively counter the brewing storm, apart from whining about a supposed witch hunt.

Had I been Trump or his family / staff members I’d have already been insane for months…

  • epeeist

Cohen? I think he went for my evening cheeseburger a couple of times. He gave it to my security guards, I never even met him.

  • He’s lost his mind for sure! He’s been on Twitter going nuts

  • LOL! So true.

  • wannabe

    baited -> bated breath…

    See, e.g.,

“Sources also indicate that Cohen is not required to cooperate with the government on other cases as a part of this plea.”

  • I know!

  • WallofSleep

I picture a scenario where a bunch of fall guys, guilty though they may be, take all the heat while making sure Trump comes out squeaky clean. Sad.

  • I hope not. Check the update I just posted

  • WallofSleep

Then we could be in for an unprecedented (at least in my lifetime) October Surprise.

  • I hope so! This guy has got to go down!

  • WallofSleep

Hard. And it needs to leave a massive crater as both an object lesson and a warning.

  • MystiqueLady

    WOHOO!!!!! Am totes loving this!

  • MystiqueLady

Oh damn — there goes my buzz!

  • YES!!!! This is unprecedented. He’s implicating a president in committing crimes.

  • WallofSleep

Don’t forget to read the update on the post.

  • MystiqueLady

I did! Buzz is coming back!

  • WallofSleep

I’ve been keeping myself fairly buzzed since Nov. of 2016.

  • Me too! So stoked!

  • I’m buzzed on the high of Michael Cohen!

  • MystiqueLady

Good idea! I wonder how many states will be weed friendly before the end of His Bigliness’s administration? I think there is a correlation there.

  • MystiqueLady

More good news — Manafort found guilty on 8 counts!!!! Let’s hope Drumpf has a total meltdown in primetime!

  • Yep – he’s facing 80 years in prison.

  • WallofSleep

I’m not gonna start drinking just yet… let me rephrase that… I’m not gonna start drinking in celebration just yet.

  • I’m not a drinker. If I was – I would be taking shots!

  • WallofSleep

I think I’ve been drinking enough for the both of us for the last couple of years.

  • LOL! I’ve been working out my stress! I have an elliptical and it’s taken a beating the past 2 years. I’m also a tennis coach. I’ve smashed more than a few balls in frustration 😉

  • WallofSleep

That’s a much healthier exercise regimen than mine, which mostly consists of 12oz curls.

  • I bet your biceps are happy! 😉

  • WallofSleep

    “Medicated” is happy-adjacent, right?

  • Absolutely!

  • WallofSleep

My state has been weed friendly (medical) since ’96, and legalized recreational use in ’16. My county, however, is hell bent on staying stuck in the 50’s. Despite voters sending a loud message on the issue in ’16, earlier this year when the city council was voting on the issue locally, they decided to leave the door open on future discussion of medical only marijuana, an issue the voters decided on over 20 years ago.

Fresno County is the largest county in the state of CA, and it’s absolute garbage in more ways than one. If anyone is not already here, I strongly advise people to stay the hell out. If you have to drive through the county for some reason, try and do so without spending a penny here. They don’t deserve it.

  • Jim Jones

    > What Are Your Thoughts?

My thought is that Aretha Franklin said it best. I wish she could sing it – with great irony – to Cohen and then to Trump.

  • This probe os gong to move slow but the final collapse of Trump will end FAST, because Mueller is right now getting all his peices in place for the final Checkmate.

  • WallofSleep

That’s why they’ve been screaming for Mueller to “end it now” for so long. It’s pleasant, seeing their cries fall on deaf ears.

  • yes! It’s so much fun to watch!

  • Now his supporters are gaslighting and shifting their blame to illegal immigration. They are talking about a murder of a girl in Iowa by an illegal immigrant

  • WallofSleep

Saw that. Totally relevant to the topic, that ‘observation’. Clearly dealing with some big time Mensa candidates.

  • Clearly. I’ve been blocking ridiculous comments on my social media accounts all day. they are very, very brain washed

  • WallofSleep

    Or very well paid.

  • oh very true!

  • WallofSleep

    We’ll see, we’ll see…

EDIT: It will all come out in the wash, as the saying goes. Which is why Trump & Co. have been screaming for an end to the investigation. Good thing the separation of powers is still intact. If, and that’s a BIG if, that gets dissolved, everyone with half a brain should either run for greener pastures or prepare for a fight.

  • I agree!

I remember the first time I saw this photo. Look at that bastard’s face. He knew it was all over but the cryin’. Fuck ’em all.

  • epeeist

There was no COLUSION, my councel Rudi will show that my version is the TRUTH and that Mueller is FAKE NEWS.

  • Also, I’ve never understood how he and his circle could have thought they could get away with it – I mean, a huge conspiracy involving foreign agents isn’t something you can hide forever… especially when half of your countryfolks would like you to end up in jail.

  • I hope he keeps on talking. They have their eyes on the President.

  • Jim Jones

All of Trump’s gang knows the loyalty goes only one way.

And not even to his wives or children.

Once they hit the wall they’ll squeal all the details.

I’m just starting Omarosa’s book, Unhinged. She’s way, WAY more rational than the WH claims – and they are way more corrupt. Kelly is a POS.

  • Jim Jones

He lost it long ago. Reagan was more rational when he was first elected. And yet . . .

    Not Even a Hedgehog

    The stupidity of Ronald Reagan.

    By Christopher Hitchens

The fox, as has been pointed out by more than one philosopher, knows many small things, whereas the hedgehog knows one big thing. Ronald Reagan was neither a fox nor a hedgehog. He was as dumb as a stump. He could have had anyone in the world to dinner, any night of the week, but took most of his meals on a White House TV tray. He had no friends, only cronies. His children didn’t like him all that much.

He met his second wife—the one that you remember—because she needed to get off a Hollywood blacklist and he was the man to see. Year in and year out in Washington, I could not believe that such a man had even been a poor governor of California in a bad year, let alone that such a smart country would put up with such an obvious phony and loon.

  • WallofSleep

It just keeps getting more interesting. Why the Manafort verdict should worry Trump

    The money shot quote:

For years Trump wanted to build one of his signature, namesake towers in
Moscow. By 2014, he was getting close, having made contacts with a
variety of Russians who might help gain government approvals and provide
financing. The prospect of Trump Tower Moscow died when Russia annexed
Crimea and invaded Ukraine. Europe and the United States responded by
imposing sanctions in 2014, which made Trump’s project impossible.
Still, those Russian contacts may have helped Trump finance other deals
and funneled Russian buyers to key Trump properties.

  • Dang!!!

  • B.A.

    My thoughts exactly.

  • B.A.

Tell us more about the book when you have a chance. I love to read.

  • Jim Jones

It’s on the Torrent network. The entire “Omarosa went crazy when we fired her” is a lie. Also, they practically admitted she was being fired without cause, probably because she was getting close to the ‘N&gger’ tapes of Trump. Then they offered her $!80,000 a year to sign a NDA in perpetuity.

But you have to wonder how long that would last.

  • Jim Jones

Oh, don’t worry. I bet he’s trading that for a reduced sentence.

  • Whatever it takes to lock up Trump and get him out of office I’m for

  • Erik1986

Used to go to Herndon, every Easter, every Thanksgiving to compete in the horse trials. Stayed in Fresno motels/hotels of course. Only think I liked was the breakfasts at Klein’s. LOL

Jane Wyman was married four times, but I always felt some affection for her since she shed Reagan (was married to him for 8-9 years, tho.)

“Fuck this shit – who’s been fucking me”.

Allen Weisselberg, Longtime Trump Organization CFO, Is Granted Immunity in Cohen Probe

  • just finished reading that!

  • WallofSleep

Okay, you need to get out of my head now. Really. I didn’t know you were there and the place is an absolute mess right now.

  • we share the same politics 🙂

  • WallofSleep

And the same reading list and schedule apparently. I had just finished reading that before posting.

  • I ended up on the story from the WJ from an article I read on CNN.
