I am Katie Paulson.
For 15 years, I worked in sales and marketing for two large organizations.
When my son was born in 2012, we were thrown a curve ball with his health. Our son was born with no pituitary gland. Other neurological disorders, and congenital heart disease.
In 2016, I left my corporate job and became a freelance writer.
I have been writing professionally since 2013. My work has been featured all over the internet.
I originally designed my blog as a place to share my journey of raising a child that is medically fragile. Today I write about parenting, women’s health, mental health, women’s and gender rights, current events, disability advocacy, living as an atheist, and stories from my life raising my son.
I am a champion for mothers and all women. My advocacy extends to bringing awareness to topics that affect many, but few will discuss.
Through my writing, I reach people that feel like they don’t have a voice.
I pick topics that are taboo, shushed by society, or emotionally charged to help the world understand that the stories of the most vulnerable people in our communities.
