It\u2019s for laundry rooms, gyms, hospitals, and everywhere else.\u201d She writes:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"text\">John Wimber, one of the founders of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.christianitytoday.com\/ct\/topics\/v\/vineyard-movement\/\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Vineyard<\/a> church movement, used to say, \u201cEveryone gets to play.\u201d He meant that everyone gets to minister, everyone gets to hear from God, everyone has a part to play in this church and in this world, everyone gets to speak life and healing, to pray and to serve, to lead and to follow. When it comes to the kingdom of God, everyone gets to play\u2026<\/p>\n<p class=\"text\">One of our final tin gods as a church might be the belief that not everyone gets to \u201cdo\u201d theology. Unless you have been to seminary and have a lot of letters after your name; or, unless you\u2019re in full-time vocational ministry, your thoughts about or experiences with Jesus aren\u2019t considered as valid or trustworthy.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text\">There are folks who believe that I\u2014as a woman who hasn\u2019t been to seminary\u2014can\u2019t possibly play with the big boys when it comes to theology. My opinions don\u2019t matter as much; my experiences with Scripture and church, life, and the Spirit don\u2019t count.
